New to XPCOM

I've been considering XPCOM for a while. We already have a working application, a 3D modeler in C. Is it possible to use XPCOM to use Mozilla to control the application? Is it possible to have our application window inside mozilla (running the application on the local machine)? Can we send commands (mouse clicking events) from the application window to Mozilla javascript code?
