However netscape shows up the plugin page and sends the email, but the error is quite annoying.
Sounds like you have an old plugin that isn't compatible with the new version of the XPCOM.dll provided with NS 7.1. Did you install the Mozilla spell checker at some point? Look for a file in bin\plugins that's older than the rest, move it out of the directory and try your test again. Repeat until the error goes away, and then you'll know which one it is.
