Hi

I don't really know what XPCOM, XPConnect are about, but
I'd like to know if there is a possibility to script
Mozilla with these techniques (and possibly others)
in a way similar to Windows Scripting based on
"COM".

I know XPCOM doesn't support Microsoft-COM and the
IDispatch-Interface, but on http://www.mozilla.org/scriptable/
they seem to say (if i understand correctly) that
XPCOM also has its own classes with ProgIDs (like COM)
that are scripteable, and even seems to support
intantiiating Objects by GUID (or CLSID or UUID).

So is it possible to write JavaScript's that
autmomate or simulate User-Action like navigating to a website
and download particular files or save the textual contents
of a the website or other stuff like that?
Or asked the other way around: What can I do with XPCOM?
