We have released the second public beta-version of the cross-platform
document viewer HelpExplorer version 2.

Changes:

- Full-Text-Search is implemented.
- The design is improved.
- The dependence on the libraries included only in old Linux distributives
is avoided.
- The bug "undefined symbol: XShmQueryVersion" is fixed.
- The bugs of the known memory leaks are fixed.
- THe bug of updating of the window while changing its contents.
- The major part of the reported bugs in parsers is fixed.

About HelpExplorer:

HelpExplorer version 2 has comprehensive implementation on the framework GDF
and it is available for two
platforms Win32 and Linux. There is an additional feature in the new
version: it enables to view document
files in the format CHM. You can also use JavaScript and multimedia files
(Flash, Real Video, Acrobat)
inside the document file.  Besides part macro of the language WinHelp is
available for CHM inside HelpExplorer.
To make available HelpExplorer for your VCL or CLX application it is enough
to add  HexplSys.pas as
a first file of the project. HelpexplSys.pas implements Delphi IHelpViewer
interface for HelpExplorer.
