i'm implementing a subset of webdav client functionality as a xpcom component written in javascript.
Depending on your needs, there is already basic WebDAV functionality in the tree as an extension: <http://lxr.mozilla.org/mozilla/source/extensions/webdav/>. The interfaces are not yet totally stable, as they still need to be adjusted to support eTags, locking, and various other stuff.
