I don't know if it is possible to use a component as soon as it is downloaded and registered. The extensions I use all require a restart of the browser. This (as far as I know) is because the xpti.dat and the compreg.dat are read during startup and not in between. I don't know if there is a way to make the browser read these files on the fly.
Someone more knowledgable might help you on this
