I think adding all of your browsed pages to a full-text history search
is a great idea. I just went and played with google search history
and it doesn't do full-text search over my clicked results (it
searches the little blurbs, not the full text). I've often tried to
get back to a page I remember reading and then can't find again.

The word/phrase frequency from a history index like this might provide
some good clues as to the social interest of the person browsing.

What makes this impractical? You can probably hide any performance
lags by doing the indexing while the page is being read.
