What are you linking against? xpcomglue.lib does not provide NS_NewGenericModule2, but it typically should not be used for XPCOM components, only standalone embedders. XPCOM components should typically use xpcomglue_s.lib and link against the XPCOM dll itself (xpcom.lib on windows, libxpcom.so on unix).
