I am attempting to install the barley package. I followed the
directions (although I'm in Linux so I'm using jar instead of winzip),
and when I try to open the xpi file and click on OK for the "Items to
Install" box, the throbber runs continuously and doesn't stop, but
nothing else happens.
Upon checking the install.log file, it appears to have installed
correctly nonetheless, but when I type chrome://barley/content in the
url window, I get the message in the status bar "Read
/local/mozilla-0.9/chrome/barley/barley.xpi", but nothing else happens.
When I run mozilla from the command line mozilla-0.9 -chrome
chrome://barley/content, it loads a normal copy of mozilla, no barley,
no error messages.
I checked the installed-chrome.txt file, and barley does not show up in
there. Should it?
