XPINstall can be used with install.rdf also?
No (as far as I know), but you can set a pref per your extension on first launch to true.
pref("extensions.myGUID.firstRun","true")and on firstRun reset that to false. Possible extending based on version of your extension if needed.
And when it is run, figure out the Registry stuff you need.
