I am just getting up to speed on Firefox 1.0 and have added a number of extensions. Just yesterday, all the images at www.amazon.com fail to appear. If I search for a Linksys router, I get all the descriptions but the place where the "pictures" used to appear "looks" blank. But, the images are apparently there -- I can hover over them and see the links.
The browser can block images from loading on its own, without any extensions.
Tools | Options | Web Features, Load Images --> Exceptions gets you to the appropriate dialogue box.
