but a vinyl player rarely causes a system crash while trying to play
music.

the transition to all-digital music culture is bound to be a bit harder
than the transition to cd:s. i'm no expert, but i guess there are a lot
of people who are even less expert and have less tolerance for having to
rig up their software before being able to play a song. i have mostly
bad experiences of streaming music on windows 95, 98, nt and 2000. (well
yes, we can almost conclude where the fault is...)
