Hmmm... as long as the media player requires a ridiculously massive 
operating system to run within, there will be problems... MP3-only 
devices might change the situation in the big scale.

Hmm... No system crashes with Mac (good luck, I suppose). Quicktime, 
Real Player and AMP Radio - they all stream just nicely.
