haven't seen any blue stickers on trax vinyls. always been red. but as
you probably know, they were pressed on used vinyl - sometimes they
didn't even remove old stickers from vinyls they used as base material..
so those original pressings are mostly quite mess. they have lots of
noise, cracks, pops.. and i've seen few that didn't have even tracks on
about 1/4 of the 12"! you couldn't play it at all. trax records as
company went to bank crupt for few times, 4 or 5, if i remember right,
but it always returned somehow to business. they didn't even pay
royalties for all artists...
but anyhow, they might have had to print stickers on blue paper if red
was out. you know, they didn't have shitloads of money. they typically
pressed a little amounts of records at the time, and if they run out of
it, they would press some more. and so on.
now, i started to really wonder have i seen a trax vinyl with blue
stickers too..
