>first somebody had some wicked console (before c64)

I had a Mattel Intellivision console. It was superb! (Actually, it
was not _mine_ but mine and my friend's together.) There were several
ultimate games for Mattel: Utopia, Night Stalker, AD&D (yeah!
probably one of the first official AD&D game licences... nothing to
do with roleplaying, though).... etc...

> and we played that.
>then we played with c64,

Then came Sinclair ZX81 and a bit later Sinclair ZX Spectrum
(actually ZX81 _came_ before Mattel, but was bought by our parents
later). We played Skool Daze, Back to Skool, Underwurlde, etc... Then
I got involved in music making, video, arts, etc and had not computer
for several years... Fast forward to the year 1992, when Ultima
Underworld I was just released: It hit like a mchammer. Saw it on my
friend's machine (and I immediately played six levels of it). Still
absolutely the best computer game I've ever played. For a couple of
years I played a lot pc games (on my friend's pc). I bought an Amiga
and checked out, what were those "classics" everybody was talking
about. Liked Chaos Engine. I sold the Amiga, bought a pc. Sold the
pc, bought an Amiga. Sold the Amiga and was without any computer for
about two years. Then I stole a forgotten Macintosh Classic from a
dusty corner the Turku Art School computer class. No games on that
machine, buddy (except Tetris). Later I involved in worklife and
finally had an opportunity to buy a decent computer - a G3 Mac. But I
had been too long without game addiction. I've several times tried to
play System Shock on the Mac, but it just doesn't feel the same
anymore... I recently bought King of Dragon Pass, though. Maybe it'll
be my type of a game. Dunno. I borrowed it immediately to a friend of
mine... Maybe I'll have an opportunity try it out in some... future.

>then came amiga and carrier command, joan of arc, sierra games, ultima
>series, etc.. then we played them with pc.

Sierra games? Yuck! I'll never forget the action scenes and sudden
death in their adventure games... Not to mention the horrible
interface and annoying nerd humour... Gabriel Knight was a bit
better, though.

I loved LucasArts games and hated Sierra games.
