To leave Commie, hyper to http://commie.oy.com/commie_leaving.html ................................. istari: >hm.. i heared that microsoft did also a bug in the newer windows (me and +) >that you cant install a linux and a windows on the same computer. > >i know one guy who installed beside a windowsME ( which came with a laptop ) >a linux partition. after two weeks he just listen to a audiostream and wondered >about that windows sayd there are 9 Gb free space. it came out that windows ME >just overrun his linux partition. > >nice he ? Allthought he might be nice, I have to make some conclusions here..which are that this "one guy" doesn't know that much about computers. Or linux in particular. MS doesn't (hopefully) "make bugs" that makes it possible to install othet OS's to empty partitions. Only a conjecture, but this "one guy" did something with linux's fdisk (or mk2fs etc..) or windows's tools to partitions and/or filesystems. Or, then there has been some hardware problems. If MS's windows don't let other OS's use empty partitions, this kind of behaviour would be descriped more to a virus or an trojan than "non-buggy version". codec
