Hello everybody.
Sorry to post this in here but i didn't find a better place to ask for
this.
I', currently using EAC + LAME 3.89 Beta version for Dimitri Kutsanov
for creating my mp3 stuff.
After some reading i end up with my current command line that is: -b 192
-m s -V 0 -B 320 --lowpass 19.5 -q 0
Wich stand for Highly quality VBR mp3 files and encodes at 1.6x in an
Pentium II 366 128Mb ram.
Well, after a few more readings i end up with some questions, concerning
the ATH and the PSY-Model.
First, i'm using RazorLame to frontend, and in the ATH option i just use
the default, but my first question is waht is the LAME default? it uses
the ATH model or the PSY-Model?
And what is best to archive more quality in compression? Using the ATH
model or the PSY-Model?
I could find some info relatting the subject but it wasn't enoutgh to
answer my questions.
And the other questions concerning the ATH are:
--athlower n lower the ATH
what is the default value used by lame?
--athonly ATH only
seems to be better then the PSY-Model, but in the site
mp3dev.org i couldn't find any juice information.
--cwlimit n tonality limit
How does this affect the mp3 compression quality if any effect
at all.
-X 0...7
Ok, i read the text that docummnet this but i still don't figure
very well what they do to the quality.
Any Help?
I know that answring to all those questions could take loads of time not
to mention being boring, but if you can then drop a line or two. I would
be very apreciated.
Thanks in advance for the time taken ...
Best Regards.
FIlipe
