AFAIK realaudio and ms wma sound better than mp3 at low frequencies
i compared mp3 and wma at 96kbps and 64kbps and i could see a big difference.
maybe with mp3pro u can achieve better results (btw it's proprietary and
the test encoder thomson released encode at 64kbps 22khz, so twice the bitrate
you are going to use)
