Yeah, the developers. There seems to be seriously bad blood between the
two. I found that "--alt-preset standard" did sound better than --r3mix
but at the cost of 20% to 30% larger output and less than half the
encoding rate. For my purposes --r3mix was good enough to opt for
smaller and faster. YMMV.
