Hi, I just started using LAME and I am trying to figure out how to make LAME compress in MPEG-2 format instead of MPEG-1.  According to the doc's it seams that all that I have to do is use a bit rate of 24Khz or below.  Is this correct?  If so how does it compare in quality over MPEG-1 and WMA?  I have a RIO-600 and I am trying to find the best way to encode my CD's to it.  It would be really great if I could use LAME to encode to MPEG-2 and have it be comparable in size and quality to WMA at 64kb.  Thanks for any help.
