Libsndfile version 1.0.0rc2 is out. One of the important new features
is buried in this little note in the API documentation:
http://www.zip.com.au/~erikd/libsndfile/api.html#note1
When someone does the mods to LAME so that LAME can use the new version of
libsndfile your problem will be addressed.
