| Odeslatel: Vladimir Mincev <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> | I am still looking for perfect solution about getting good quality and | good compression at the same time. Using Lame 3.92 --r3mix get me the | best results for now, but I think that it can be done even better! | | Is there a tool that can compare two mp3 files with original and tell | me which one is better quality (sounds more like original)? | I already tried Mp3 Utility and EncSpot but none of them doesn't do | what I want to. Any clue what tool can I use?
http://mitiok.free.fr/c.htm EAQUAL-0.1.3 alpha EAQUAL is an objective measurement tool for audio quality based on the recommendation ITU-R BS.1387 (sorce code) But if you want to have outstanding quality, I should reccomend to your attention MPEG1-Layer 2 at 256kbps and higher (or VBR implemented in toolame) or much better Layer 1 at 320-384 kbps. If you have acces to hardware MP2 or MP1 encoders (radio studios or Philips DCC), you will never more use MP3 at high bitrates. They does not have smooth peaks as MP3 does.
