Here's how I produced the error using Audiograbber ( http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/ ) discovered it using MP3Test ( http://home.arcor.de/shivi/MP3Test/ ) actually saw the error using UltraEdit ( http://www.ultraedit.com/ ) and repaired it using MP3 Tag Studio ( http://www.magnusbrading.com/mp3ts/ ) 1. find a small WAV file 2. uncheck "use ID3v2 tags" in Audiograbber 3. use audiograbber to convert it to an MP3 4. test it with MP3Test and notice that it reports it as having an "Invalid First Frame" 5. repair it with MP3 Tag Studio using the "remove junk data before first MP3 frame" option 6. open both the repaired and backup (the original) versions of the files in UltraEdit's HEX mode view. 7. notice the 417 empty bytes at the beginning of the original file.
