Hi all, I happened to come across Ivan Dimkovic paper "Improved ISO AAC coder". In it, CMDCT is performed for both psychoacoustic model MDCT filterbank. I wonder whether the same can be done for mp3. I think there may be some complications due to the table values given for FFT filterbank in the tables in ISO 11172-3. Wonder how these values eg numlines, qthr, norm and bval etc can be calculated for MDCT filterbank. Maybe someone has already tried Ivan's idea. Any coments. Any help is greatly appreciated.
