The LAME project hasn't any contract with the patent holders.

We only distribute source code, no executables / libraries. So we shift
the issue to those people which generate/use the executables.

I suggest you direct further questions to either [EMAIL PROTECTED] (if
is belongs to mp3 encoding / encoders in general, like this question),
or to [EMAIL PROTECTED] if you have specific problems with
lame (e.g. bugs, patches or questions about specific aspect of the used
algorithms).
