I have tried using the ACM version of LAME 3.95.1 as an audio compressor
in VirtualDubMod (http://virtualdubmod.sourceforge.net). It does work,
however when raising the process priority from the VDM Status window
(shown while a file is being saved/encoded) from "Normal" to "Higher"
there is a sudden drop in the encoding framerate. At the time I was
doing DivX+MP3 encoding. At "Normal" priority I was averaging around
5fps. When I raised the process priority to "Higher" I dropped to almost
0fps. I tried encoding without audio also to verify that it was LAME and
not DivX that was causing the problem.
