Sorry about delay - my last post was rejected by the moderator due to
attachment files of the screenshot errors.  They are now on my FTP server
for review:

Run Lame.exe in console mode to see its version (it should look like 3.95 or
so)
The latest version I know of is 3.96 alpha.

The version is 3.93 MMX using "lame.exe --version" command.

There should be "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" string somewhere
inside Lame executable if it is compiled by MSVC (most likely).

This string was found by using WinHex: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime
Library", so it looks like Visual C++ compiled, but no version stated.
