When someone has time do do it (and AFAIK this patch only includes Wn-Threading, not POSIX-Threading, which has to be added too), it will be integrated.

You're quoting wrong. And you need to seperate SMT and SMP benchmark numbers, since there's a large technical difference there.
It produces bit identical output to classic LAME (according to author, I compared his version with a newer lame version and they differ)
You're comparing different versions, so you can't get identical output. You have to compare the same version with and without the MT patch.
