Well, just started to use Lame 3.95 for the Mac OS X and having a few problems, with setting, of getting the right sound.
My usual method is iTunes mp3 rip @ 256 vbr / quality excellent / stereo produces a nice mp3. However, was wonder if I could produce a better mp3 rip, with a simular setting with Lame 3.95 or better and smaller, please note: I do own some very expensive headphones... (Stax�s ) hear everything. I tried the presents... but don�t like the joint stereo for high kbps files. current setting is: -v -V0 -b256 -ms -q0 was wounding if there is setting for error correction, and low filtering below 10Hz, with a high filtering above 20 Khz. also, if there any other command strings, I could add to my current settings.
