By the way, discuss another small question by this thread. You know, psychoacoustic model based on FFT is not exactly corresponding to the frequency bin of MDCT one by one. But on the other hand, we can use FFT to calculate MDCT with pre-shift and permute. Well, what I want to ask is: is it help to improve quality if we calibrate FFT bin exactly to MDCT bin and then calculate masking on it?
