I just joined the list, and I sent this email. However, I never received a copy, so I'm thinking that I sent it too early and I was not approved yet or something. So, if this is a duplicate for people, I apologize. Now, on to the email:
I'm running the latest LAME on Windows XP. I have created a Python script that invokes LAME to encode MP3s and FLAC to encode FLACs. Many of these files need Unicode tags (I am encoding Japanese music specifically). The FLAC encoder accurately encodes the tags, but LAME fails to encode the tags correctly. Does LAME support Unicode? If so, how can I successfully use it from the command line? Because the encoding of FLACs successfully stores tags but the LAME encoder does not, I am deducing it's a problem with LAME. Thank you. -- Kyle Goetz BS Pure Mathematics, BA Japanese 2006 The University of Texas Using M2, Opera's revolutionary e-mail client: http://www.opera.com/m2/ _______________________________________________ mp3encoder mailing list [email protected] http://minnie.tuhs.org/mailman/listinfo/mp3encoder
