Hi, I am trying to compile MPB in a Linux, x86_64 machine using Intel compiler and MKL libraries. I've got to the point where the configuration script stops with the following error: .... checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes checking for sqrt in -lm... yes checking how to get verbose linking output from /opt/intel/fce/9.0/bin/ifort... -v checking for Fortran 77 libraries... -lm" -L/usr -limf -lm -L/opt/intel/fce/9.0/lib -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.4/ -L/usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/3.4.4/../../../../lib64 -lsvml -lifport -lifcore -lirc -lgcc_s -lirc_s -ldl checking for dummy main to link with Fortran 77 libraries... unknown configure: error: linking to Fortran libraries from C fails The quotation marks after -lm, on the 'checking for Fortran 77 libraries' line look pretty suspicious to me, but I'm not sure whether the problem root from it. Could any one give me a hand to solve this problem. Thanks!!! Baudilio Baudilio Tejerina Department of Chemistry Northwestern University 2145 Sheridan Rd.
