I'm told it is possible to install MPB under Windows using Cygwin, a free
Unix-like environment for Windows that you can download from
www.cygwin.com. You will still need some understanding of Unix, however,
so you may want to consult a local Unix guru at your university for help.

(run output-efield output-hfield)
will output HDF5 files of the E and H fields for all of the bands. You
can then plot them using any tool that can read HDF5 files, such as
Matlab, or use my h5utils package to convert the HDF5 files into another
format.
