(Sorry for the re-post, but the attached files seemed not to show correctly.)
Dear all, Upon following the example given in the MPB Data Analysis Tutorial, I got an inconsistent result. According to the tutorial, http://ab-initio.mit.edu/wiki/index.php/MPB_Data_Analysis_Tutorial#The_tri-rods_dielectric_function my dielectric function should look like the attached file, Tri-rods-eps-2.gif. However, what I got looks like the other attached file, ubuntu_result.png, which is a 90-degree-rotated version of the example in the tutorial, the original distorted image is the same with that of the example, though. To rule out any typo, I directly ran the example provided with the MPB package of my linux distro, but the dielectric function was still the rotated version of the tutorial example. And I think these two dielectric functions are not the same. I did some search on this mailing list without any finding of posts related to the same problem. So, I wonder it's just me. FYI, my simulation was performed under Ubuntu linux desktop i386 7.04 and 6.10. Any comment would be very appreciated. Thanks very much. hohowowo
