Hello Steven and MPB Users,
I am trying to simulate the slab photonic crystal structure in your Phys
Rev. B 60 (1999) paper using two methods, MPB and a code by L.C.
Andreani called GME
(http://fisicavolta.unipv.it/dipartimento/ricerca/Fotonici/Index.htm).
Attached is my MPB .ctl file. The band structure plots can be found at:
http://www.chriskang.net/incoming/r0.4_GME.pdf
http://www.chriskang.net/incoming/r0.4_MPB.pdf
My question pertains to the appearance of the bands in the light cone.
While the gap seems to remain intact under the light cone, there seems
to be some states that MPB is calculating that do not appear on the GME
band plot. Is this merely a difference in how the modes are calculated,
or is there something wrong with how my structure is set up in MPB? Any
help would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Chris
