Yes, you can rotate and object like a block. In the case of a block,
you would do it by rotating the e1/e2/e3 axes. You can make other
geometric shapes (e.g. hexagons) by overlapping multiple blocks etc,
and you can also specify the material as an arbitrary function of
position if you need something very weird.
