Dear mpb user's
i"m traying to install octave 3.0.3 on centos 5.2, gcc 4.1.2, when i tape make
i got the following messages:
/usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/liblapack.a(spotrf.o): relocation R_X86_64_32
against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile
with -fPIC
/usr/local/lib/liblapack.a: could not read symbols: Bad value
collect2: ld a retourné 1 code d'état d'exécution
make[3]: *** [libcruft.so] Erreur 1
make[3]: quittant le répertoire « /usr/local/octave-3.0.3/libcruft »
make[2]: *** [libraries] Erreur 2
make[2]: quittant le répertoire « /usr/local/octave-3.0.3/libcruft »
make[1]: *** [libcruft] Erreur 2
make[1]: quittant le répertoire « /usr/local/octave-3.0.3 »
make: *** [all] Erreur 2
