Dear Steven,

Hi. Happy thanksgiving!

It is true that "The width of the waveguide in the two cases is not the same,
which is why you are getting different results. This is easily seen by looking
at the epsilon files side-by-side. (Use "mpb-data -m 3 -r -n32" to see a
rectangular supercell)."

The waveguide width of both the control files can be adjusted easily by
resetting the "(define wg-ratio 1.0)" at the beginning of the codes. Here,
"1.0" indicates the W1 defects (distance between the two lines close the the
waveguide: 1.0*sqrt(3)*a). If it changes to 0.8, it should indicates the W0.8
defects (0.8*sqrt(3)*a).

So, even the waveguide widths are different (1 and 0.8). The difference should
not be that large. I would like to attach all the figures, because the 3D file
will take a much longer time to run. Perhaps I will run some 2D examples first.

Thanks a lot.

Best,
Jiangjun
