Please note that aMPD is an unofficial fork of MPD, based on a very old MPD version. The fork appears to be dead (no commit this year). It is not supported by this project. Unfortunately, that fork does not help, and no code can be merged back, because the author chose that old MPD version, after which most of the MPD code base had been rewritten.
