No, mpd does not support l2tp. Archie implemented it
as a separate experimental program, named sl2tps.
Another server implementation which also supports
client functionality is l2tpd.
Both are in the ports collection.
yesterday i'v tried l2tpd, but failed :(
maybe there's something wrong with my conf file.
