Hello,

Here is my setup:
Hauppauge WinTV 401
BMK kfir board

I can record PAL and NTSC no problem, if I connect
directly to the bmk kfir board. However...

I am using the Hauppauge tuner to tune the input to the
kfir board, here are the problems:

1) Hauppauge won't switch to composite1 - anyone know
why? I get audio great, but just a blue picture.

2) Is the US (American) Hauppuage board able to display
PAL signals? I can get B/W video with unintelligble
when in NTSC mode, but sound and just a blue screen
(BSOD?) when in SECAM mode. PAL selection is very
corrupted. I can't get any video or sound together.

3) when I try to run xawtv, I sometimes get something like
"cannot allocate memory." I didn't have this problem
when I just had the Hauppauge board, it has something
to do with videodev module. Pointers?

I'm using a multi-system VCR to send the signal, through
the RF cable to the Hauppauge board, where the signal is
tuned and sent to the kfir board. Note again that I can
record both PAL and NTSC movies - and NTSC through the
hauppauge wintv, just PAL through the wintv.

I'm sorry if these questions are all bttv related and
have nothing to do witht the kfir board.

Any help or pointers appreciated.

Thanks,
Torsten

PS: I have USB and the kfir working, all on an athlon
kt7a 133Mhz/1333Mhz setup. These were all problems
I read about. I do have to install usb stuff AFTER
kfir.
