[mpeg2] still picture grabbing

What kind of still pictures do you mean? Single pictures of the 
uncompressed image? Or single compressed I-Frames?
In both cases I don't know how this would be done.
Of course you could encode an MPEG2 stream and extract single 
pictures from it afterwards.
