Has anyone got the kfir/linux card to encode for more than a day at a time?
The message ( http://www.linuxtv.org/mailinglists/mpeg2/2002/11-2002/msg00024.html) reported the same behaviour as I am getting, broken video + ok sound after leaving it run overnight. Kfir chip is cooled with 486 fan + pci blower. No unnecessary processes are running on the box (telnetd / getty / kernel processes only). Behaviour is the same across different hardware platforms (different mobos all running stock 2.4.18) On another issue - Is there any way to improve the lipsync error that the card introduces? (I think it might be up to 1/3 second). Are there any settings in Kfir.c that might improve the situation?
