The Fortran/language bindings working group would like to announce the following issue and associated pull requests for reading at the next Voting Meeting:
* "Fortran errata: Clarify where TYPE(MPI_Status) type must be defined": https://github.com/mpi-forum/mpi-issues/issues/298 * MPI-3.x errata PR: https://github.com/mpi-forum/mpi-standard/pull/262 * MPI-4.0 errata PR: https://github.com/mpi-forum/mpi-standard/pull/255 It is the same issue for both PRs, hence there's only one issue. However, the PRs are quite different between the mpi-3.x and mpi-4.x branches because of the Pythonization of the MPI bindings on the mpi-4.x branch. Hence, there's two different PRs. The rendered text changes between the two PRs are (nearly) identical: the only difference is the annotation of the Fortran bindings in section 18.2.5 (the difference is due to Pythonization).
