Hello,

I’d like to bring forward the clarification text for MPI memory kind’s default
value during the January 2025 voting meeting for an erratum vote:

Hi all,

TL;DR
1. New meeting coming up on Jan 8. Announce readings and votes
2. Register for meeting
3. Indicate attendance for March meeting

Despite just having finished a meeting this week, we have another meeting
coming up soon as we move toward the next version of the MPI Standard. The next
meeting will be a virtual voting meeting on January 8th, 2025. This will be the
last opportunity for 2nd votes and errata readings and votes for the next
version of the MPI Standard.

If you have anything you want to be discussed or voted on, it must be announced
on the mailing list before December 25th. Obviously, many people will not be
working that day, so it would be good to announce as early as possible. As a
reminder, I do not carry over first votes from previous meetings so all
readings need to be announced. Please let Martin and I know about any other
discussions that you'd like to have at this meeting.

Please also go ahead and register for the meeting here:

Lastly, if you haven't already indicated your availability for our in-person
Release Candidate Meeting in Stuttgart, Germany in March, please do so here:

I'm excited that we already have 15 people planning to come in-person. I hope
many more will be able to join us in particular for this meeting as it makes
the final process of finishing an MPI Standard version easier.

Thanks,
Wes
