Yeah, that looks like it should be merged upstream. Though supporting compilers from a company that does not exist seems like a manifest waste of time to me. The argument is always that doing so helps pick up bugs, but I don't consider this a bug in MPIR.
However, as the patch is easy enough, I'll try it out and see if it causes any other issues on other systems. Bill.
