By the way, did you send the correct test-suite.log. The log you sent shows that all 9 tests passed.
It's not clear how make can give an error if the tests passed. We've also tested widely on Ubuntu 14.04, so if you have a fairly standard setup, it seems unlikely there would be problems with MPIR itself on this platform. Could something have interrupted the test suite whilst it was running? Bill.
