Hi all,
Our ticket #129 [1] appears to document a bug in GMP, which seems to still
exist in GMP-6.1.2. I may be doing something stupid, but to the best of my
ability to check, this is a real bug that really still exists.
We would report this to them, but as part of an agreement with them from
long ago, we do not post on any of their lists. Can someone who is NOT an
MPIR developer, please report this to them (and please do so in as neutral a
way as possible, i.e. don't link to our ticket or mention MPIR at all,
please!!)
I do not know what the cause of the bug is. But it seems the
gmp_randinit_set function is faulty somehow.
