Hi Russell, In my MPIR repository at: https://github.com/BrianGladman/mpir I have modified the build generator (mpir_config.py) so that the Windows SDK for the generated build can be set when the scrript is run. So to build Visual Studio solutions for Visual Studio 2017 (vs15) with the Windows 7.1 SDK you would run it from the command line as follows: >> mpir_config.py 15 7.1 You might like to try this to see if it solves your problem.
