Thank you Andy for your very good point.
However, I point that issue out in rebut to the comments I got pointing a
finger at the state house, which really didn't have a role in this issue.
Of course, I'm sure that if it had been a Republican that had committed this
"sin against the people" it would have been pointed out loud and clear.
I'm all for putting aside political partisanship for all issues. I have
always felt the correct solution can be achieved only if we put it aside.
We need a more balanced local government. The totally democrat (DFL)
government we have now has totally failed the people of Minneapolis. The
DFL party doesn't represent the majority of the working class people. The
people who do the living, working, and dying in this city deserve better.
We need real leadership! We don't want officials who ignore the majority of
people living here. We don't want officials who can't act to get basic
things done. We don't want officials who are afraid to do the right thing,
because it might not be very popular with their special interests groups.
I don't care if it's Republican, Independent, Green, Libertarian, or some
other party. I want real leadership, and I want it NOW!
Leadership means putting the partisanship aside and getting the job done.
Thank you ladies and gentlemen, it's late now so good night.
:)
